In Somalia, the United States wants to intensify strikes against terrorist groups.
On Sunday, February 1st, Africom, the U.S. Africa Command, conducted new airstrikes against the Islamic State group in the Golis Mountains, southeast of Bosaso, in Puntland. Since President Donald Trump’s inauguration, U.S. airstrikes in Somalia have intensified and are expected to continue.
